The Israelites did not agree with the king’s decision at all and were very upset. One family hid their baby from Pharaoh’s men, wanting to save him from death.

Because there were so many Israelites, Pharaoh made a horrible decision. He made an announcement to all of Egypt: every Israelite baby boy was to be killed. The Israelites were in tears. What Pharaoh was doing was wrong. How could God allow this to happen?
